Iced Chai Tea Latte Starbucks Copy Cat

If you're like me you've looked at the menu in Starbucks seen that they have a few different teas, but despite being curious to try them you never order them. For me the Chai latte has always piqued my interest so when I found a recipe to make it at home I raced to check it out. The best part is how quick and easy it is; you just pour it and go! Plus making it at home will definitely save you some money. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Ice cubes
Milk (I use 2% milk)
Chai Tea Concentrate (I use Tazo Chai Tea Latte Concentrate)


Procedure:

1. Fill 1/4 part of the glass with the Tazo Chai Tea Latte Concentrate.
2. Add the ice cubes to your glass.
3. Add milk.
4. Mix and enjoy!

Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Copycat

I am obsessed with Starbucks frappuccinos! But let's be honest, it's a habit that can get a little pricey. That's why I decided to make it at home. The best part is that not only am I saving a lot of money but (sorry Starbucks) mine tastes even better! Here in the Caribbean we have very strong coffee (it's grown locally after all), so my frappuccino exceeded my expectations. The problem with the Starbucks frappucinno is that I need to add expreso shots to really taste the coffee with the intensity I love in my beverages, but with this version I don't need it! You can play with the amount of coffee you want depending on you mood of your day, and without spending more money for every extra shot! Isn't it prefect? Yes it is! Ingredients:

 1/3 cup of 2% milk

 1/3 cup of coffee

2 Tablespoons of Chocolate syrup

1 tablespoon of white sugar

1 cup of Ice cubes

Procedure:

1. Put the ice in a blender.
2. Add the coffee, the milk, the sugar and the chocolate.
3. Once everything has been added hit ice crush, then chop.
4. Pour into your cup.
5. Garnish with a little extra chocolate on top and enjoy!

Whiskey Sour

Well, this is definitely not a dessert and my hubby apparently loved it! For my taste it’s a little strong. I guess I’m not a huge fan of whiskey or maybe the whiskey I chose is not the best. I think that may be the reason; let’s face it I don’t have a lot of knowledge about alcohol but I’m trying. If any of you guys knows more about this please let me know how can I get better. Ingredients:

1 measure lemon juice

2 measures blended whiskey

1 teaspoon confectioner’s sugar

Cracked ice cubes

Slice of lemon and cocktail cherry, to decorate ( I didn't used it. )

Procedure:

Add the lemon juice.

Add the whiskey.

 Add the confectioner's sugar.

Shake well over the cracked ice.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

 Enjoy!

My Cosmo...

Hi Again! This is my version of a cosmopolitan because the one I made on the last post was to strong for me. So I decided to play with the ingredients until I got a nice cocktail for my taste. Hope you guys enjoy them too!

1 measure vodka (1 ounce)

1/2 measure Triple Sec

1/2 measure lemon juice

2 measure cranberry  juice

cracked ice cubes

Procedure:

Mix all ingredients.

Shake all the liquid ingredients over cracked ice untol well frosted.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Enjoy!

Cosmopolitan

Cocktail night! Well I’ve always been a beer / wine girl , but today is my Birthday and I’ll drink if I want to… lol So today on my birthday I’ll start making cocktail posts! Hope you guys enjoy them.  Today’s cocktail is the cosmopolitan. I've always seen Sex and the city and saw them drinking cosmos and I've always been curious on the drink but because I never go out that much have never tried it. Well tonight's is the night!!

Ingredients:

2 measures vodka

1 measure Triple Sec

1 measure lime juice

1 measure cranberry  juice

cracked ice cubes

orange zest strip, to decorate

Procedure:

Mix all he ingredients.

Shake all the liquid ingredients over cracked ice until well frosted.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass

Dress with the orange zest.
