Delicious Red Apple Baby Food

Finally we started solid foods with our 6 month old baby. As parents we are extremely happy about this new adventure! We decided to start with apples. His first food were some delicious red apples. This batch makes enough for two meals a day for four consecutive days. This four day trial period gives us time to notice if he has any allergic reactions. After the fourth day we'll switch to a vegetable; probably pumpkin or potatoes. After four more days we'll start rotating them for a few days before switching in another vegetable or fruit.
For a first attempt it wasn't that bad. I didn't force him to eat, I let him really taste and touch it. It's a beautiful experience to see how your baby reacts to something other than breast milk for the first time. I love watching how my baby grows up! Hope you guys and your babies love this recipe! Ingredients:

2 delicious red apples
4-5 Tablespoons of water

Procedure:

Remove the apples cores. I recommend using an apple core.

Peel them

Give them a rough chop and put them in a saucepan.

Add the water and let it simmer for 7 to 8 minutes. 

When the apples soften take them out of the saucepan and put them in a food processor or grab a hand blender.

Add a little water.

I used the hand blender. Blend until it's smooth.

Once you finish blending, put it in ice trays or breast milk pouches. Put them in the freezer.
