I found a korean beef recipe on the internet about six or seven years ago. I printed it out and saved it. The original version used ground beef, but I switched it for ground turkey. In our house this is a must! I doubled the recipe and stored some in the freezer, for those days when you just don't want to cook. We eat it with pasta, rice, in lettuce wraps (like in the photo) and burritos. Hope you guys enjoy it! Until the next one!
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground turkey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
1 tsp minced ginger
1 Tbsp tomato paste
Procedure:
Put the ground turkey in slow cooker and break it up into small chunks with a spoon.
Put the brown sugar in a small bowl.
Add the soy sauce.
Add the Sesame Oil.
Add the garlic powder.
Add the ground red pepper.
Add the minced ginger.
Add the tomato paste.
Stir everything together until well mixed.
Pour the mixture over the meat.
Cover all of the meat, put the lid on and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.
Stir, breaking the meat up into chunks.
Serve or freeze it, as desired.
