French Apple Tart

This recipe is amazing… not that I’ve said that before… but it’s really amazing.  But oh my God those apples; cutting them was an odyssey. I tried to cut the core with a knife but it didn’t work, a spoon didn’t work either. Then I thought that a cookie cutter might do the work, and it did! It was a lot easier with the cutter to get the ideal shape! I hope you guys enjoy it! Have a lovely weekend! Remember you can use my vanilla ice cream recipe as a topping for this tart!

Ingredients:
1 puff pastry
4 granny smith apples
½ cup of sugar
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
½ cup of peach jam
1 Tablespoon of water

Procedure:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Put the puff pastry on a cookie sheet of the same size with parchment paper. Put it in the freezer while you work with the apples.

Cut the apples in half.

Peel the apples.

Cut the apples into slices.

Cut the core out of the apples with the cookie cutter.

Align the apples on the puff pastry.

Sprinkle the sugar on top of the apples.

Add the butter. Put them in the oven for 45 minutes to one hour or until brown.

Once out of the oven heat the jam with the water and brush the apples with it.

Now... Enjoy!!!

Don't forget the vanilla ice cream!
